In order to ensure effective all-round protection for guests and employees, the hotels of the Seaside Collection now rely on a completely new hygiene concept.
In all German hotels of the Seaside Collection with a total of more than 900 rooms, the highly effective That’s it surface coatings were applied. The pioneer is the 5 star SIDE Design Hotel in Hamburg, which was the first hotel in the city to implement the innovative hygiene concept.
In concrete terms, this means that all touchpoints in the hotel rooms, event rooms, restaurants, bars as well as in public and employee areas were coated with the wafer-thin, transparent functional coating That’s it PURE TOUCH 730.That’s it PURE TOUCH 730 uses Protect Core technology to prevent the adhesion and penetration of viruses and bacteria via non-porous surfaces. In addition, That’s it PURE BREATHE is also used in the hotels of the Seaside Collection: an equally thin, invisible coating for ceilings and walls, which uses photocatalysis to effectively clean the indoor air of viruses and bacteria, but also of fine dust, ultrafine dust and harmful VOC gases.
The coatings have an effective life of up to three years. On the one hand, they offer a protective effect that has not previously been achieved in this form. On the other hand, their long-term effect significantly reduces the amount of work required for hygiene measures and the costs incurred.
Alex Obertop, General Manager of the SIDE Design Hotel Hamburg, is convinced of the That’s it concept: “For our hotel group, the coating technologies of That’s it are a real game changer. The Design Hotel SIDE is the first and so far only five-star design hotel in Hamburg and was comprehensively modernized in spring 2018. It is centrally located directly opposite the Hamburg State Opera and not far from the Inner Alster. The building made of natural stone and glass was designed by the renowned architectural firm Jan Störmer Architekten.
